Put both shoes in the same orientation

The strongest first QC image shows the pair together, camera centred and shoes aligned. Compare toe-box width, side profile, collar height, tongue height and the rear heel line. One shoe should not sit visibly higher, lean differently or show a substantially different toe curve. Use table lines or the measurement mat to detect camera perspective.

A small difference may come from stuffing, lacing or angle. Ask for a straight repeat when the apparent asymmetry changes between images. A problem that remains visible in front, rear and top views is stronger evidence than one distorted frame.

Follow the sole as one continuous line

Inspect the lateral and medial edges and the rear. Look for gaps, excessive adhesive, a tilted outsole or a tread edge that sits differently between the pair. Follow the join from toe to heel instead of judging one isolated spot. Lighting can make clear glue look white, so request a closer neutral view when the line is ambiguous.

Check that the sole pattern and colour match the selected model. A photograph can reveal visible separation or misalignment, but it cannot predict long-term bond strength, cushioning performance or slip resistance. Keep those limits explicit.

Use reference points for panels and artwork

Compare repeated panels, eyelets, overlays and printed or embroidered elements using seams as reference lines. Left and right placement should be reasonably consistent. Check whether the tongue label is centred and whether heel tabs sit at similar heights. For patterned uppers, confirm that the ordered treatment appears on both shoes.

Do not evaluate authenticity from a logo close-up. A visible mark can be compared for position and damage, but photographs do not establish provenance or materials. The relevant decision is whether the visible item matches the ordered specification and your tolerance for construction differences.

Measure the inside when fit is the deciding factor

Insole length is often more useful than a regional label, but the measurement method must be visible. Compare the measurement with a similar shoe that fits, measured the same way. Leave room for toe shape and intended fit. A 28 cm insole does not guarantee comfort because width, volume, padding and last shape also matter.

Box removal is a shipping decision, not a default

A shoe box can add dimensional volume. Removing it may reduce a parcel’s outer size, but it also removes structure and some identification. Compare a compact packing scenario with a protected one.
